Being Thankful

In a recent social enrichment class, the participants explored the topic of being thankful.

Erin Lawrence is the Program Manager at Courtney's House. She recently lead a Social Enrichment class and asked the participants to think about what they are thankful for in their lives. The participants made "Thankful Frames."

"What are you thankful for? I'm thankful for you.

What we are thankful for? This brings our thinking brains a challenge….

We like many things in our lives, but what are we truly thankful for?

A big smile forms and ‘dinner’ is written on a thankful card.  We giggle about food being one of our first thoughts.

While we do love food, we are reminded how dinner brings our family and friends to the table. Enjoying dinner while surrounded by our people, we feel happy and safe.

We enjoyed discussing our "thanks" and making our "thankful frames" to take home.

And, yes, we made a delicious dinner and enjoyed eating together with friends.
